Blogmas #12 | Favourite Christmas TV Ads

December 12th 2016 – 13 Days to go!

The adverts that huge companies bring out for Christmas has become more and more popular over the years, now it seems that so many companies want to join in with this. I love watching all the different adverts every year. Here is a selection of my favourites over the years.

Sainsbury’s – 1914

This advert is set on Christmas Day during World War 1 and it was inspired by real events from 100 years ago. British and German soldiers called a truce on Christmas Day and entered ‘No Mans Land’ to exchange food and gifts.

The Man on the Moon – John Lewis

I absolutely love this advert and it made me cry the 1st time I watched it. It tells the story of the man in the moon who looks down on Earth watching everyone celebrate Christmas together whilst he is all alone.

EDEKA – Heimkommen (To Come Home)

This is without a doubt the saddest Christmas advert I have ever watched. It is made by a German company called EDEKA and it’s all about the importance of family at Christmas.

Coca Cola (2010)

Is these anything better than the classic Coca Cola advert? You know Christmas is truly on it’s way the 1st time you see this advert on the TV.

I love Christmas adverts so much! Let me know your favourites.
